CHICKAMAUGA, WALKER COUNTY (WRCB) – A single car wreck in Walker County has claimed the life of one person and sent another person to the hospital.

The Georgia State Patrol says the accident happened just before 4:00 a.m. on Marble Top Road, where a car struck a tree.

GSP says the driver, 58-year-old Charlie Monroe Marsh, of Lafayette, died at the scene.

The passenger, 36-year-old Rhona Sanchez, of South Carolina, was seriously injured and taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
