Shell casings found in Northshore, no shooting reported

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Police say a construction worker found shell casings on the Northshore, but officers say they don't have a shooting to tie it to right now.

Investigators say a construction worker reported finding five shell casings on the ground near a parking garage at in the 200 block of Tremont.

Officers say they haven't had a shooting reported in that area.

Police do not believe the casings are tied to a reported shooting on the Walnut Street Bridge. They say the casings were found north of Frazier Avenue, a distance from the bridge. Officers say that investigation has stalled.

If you have any information on either of these cases, contact the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525. You can remain anonymous.
