CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- The Hamilton County School Board passed a budget with $17.8 million in cuts, Thursday night.

Many of the cuts come from cutting positions. Most of the positions are from people who are retiring, those positions won't be filled.

There are also a few teaching and central office positions that were cut.

Teachers will also have to pay more for their insurance.

The budget will be presented to the County Commission next week.
