Ala. man drowns in Tennessee River
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Huntsville Emergency Medical Services says a 37-year-old Huntsville man has drowned in the Tennessee River near Lacey's Spring.
Don Webster, chief operations officer for HEMSI, says the man, whose was swimming on Sunday at Sunnyside Landing in the Talucah area when he went under.
Webster says other swimmers pulled the man out of the water and started cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him. He says the man was in full cardiac arrest when emergency workers arrived.
Webster says HEMSI transported the man to Crestwood Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The victim's name has not been released.
