RINGGOLD, CATOOSA COUNTY, GA. (WRCB)-- After a long rain delay, folks in Ringgold finally heard Josh Turner perform Thursday night at Davis Cattle Company.

The country music star played a benefit show for Ringgold High School's band and athletics teams.

The school was heavily damaged by the April 27th storm.

Of course, the skies opened up around 7:00 pm, turning the ranch into a giant mud puddle with no place to run for cover.

Turner did eventually take the stage, and the crowd wasn't disappointed, though some folks had trouble getting their cars out because of all the mud.

After all was said and done, he helped raise more $100,000 for Ringgold High School!
