CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Pharmacy holdups have been happening left and right in our area but one robber has been caught on camera in multiple heists.
The red-headed pill bandit has been robbing pharmacies for months now and now Crime Stoppers is on the case.
The woman has her routine nailed down to a tee. She always enters the store, while talking on a cell phone.
"Don't want to speculate on if she's a user or not she's probably selling them, don't know where but a lot of people are addicted to narcotics," says Chattanooga Police Officer Nathan Hartwig.
According to Police, Those addictions can drive people to make desperate moves, like walking into a pharmacy with a written note demanding a laundry list of narcotics.
"She also lifts up her shirt and shoes the handle of a firearm," says Hartwig.
With one fail swoop upgrades this robbery to armed robbery or aggravated robbery.
Chattanooga Police say the woman, not only hit the Brained Road Walgreens but she's been busy they say she's hit several Tennessee Valley pharmacies.
"We're not sure who she's talking to on the phone if it's the getaway car or not," says Hartwig.
So the prescription pill bandit may not be working alone. So far, she's the one caught on tape and police say they want her behind bars before the danger escalates.
"You never know what she has in mind, her intentions. If someone resists, you don't know, she may shoot them, never know with people like that," says Hartwig.
Eyewitnesses describe the woman as being in her 40's, with auburn hair. She's about 5'6.
