Suites and Ledford dominate July CBA bass tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of JR Suites and Phillip Ledford caught an incredible five-bass limit weighing 32.58 pounds to win first place and $2,000 in the Green Repair Now CBA Open night tournament.

JR and Phillip reported catching their fish in 4' to 6' of water using soft plastic baits. They also finished second in the last CBA night tournament with a five-bass stringer weighing over 30 lbs.

The highest finishing New Team Award also went to the team of Jack Suits and Phillip Ledford earning them a free entry into next months event.

They also had big fish of the tournament with a giant Chickamauga largemouth bass weighing 10.02 lbs.

 

Rounding out the remaining top 8 places:

  • 2nd: Roger Kendrick and Keith Ellis 26.07 lbs., $650
  • 3rd: Shaun Lusk and Andy Lusk 21.67 lbs., $500
  • 4th: Chris Coleman and Jim Cross 21.51 lbs., $400
  • 5th: Rogie Brown and Alan Brown 19.31 lbs., $300
  • 6th: Roy Dye and Drew Tompkins 19.52 lbs., $250
  • 7th: Jeff Reed and Allen Lewis 18.84 lbs., $200
  • 8th: Jayme Copenhaver and Adam Dysart 18.83 lbs., $150
