BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- The Bradley County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash at the intersection of Freewill Road and Georgetown Drive.

An elderly Georgetown Tennessee man died early Tuesday morning while being transferred to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment of injuries received in a two-vehicle collision just before five o'clock Monday afternoon.

Investigation revealed a Buick Regal driven by 78-year-old Robert Greenfield Headrick of Highway 58 failed to yield the right of way before proceeding through the intersection.

Headrick was transported to SkyRidge Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.  He died later while being transferred by ambulance to Erlanger.

The driver of the second vehicle, a Chevrolet HHR, was identified as 55-year-old Glen Wayne Towns of Charleston.  He was going north on Freewill Road at the time of the crash.  Towns  received only minor injuries.

At this time the investigation is continuing by the BCSO traffic unit.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was called to the same intersection just over two hours later to investigate another crash. No injuries were reported in that accident.

Bradley County has recorded four traffic fatalities this year.
