LIVELINES: ALLERGY & ASTHMA CALLS
If you're one of the 25 million Americans with asthma, you know this hot humid weather, a flare up could be just a breath away. But a new national study is looking at whether adding a simple supplement like soy to your diet can help you breathe easier.
Allergist, Dr. Lee Perry was our guest. He says while this study may show some promise, more research needs to be done.
Dr. Perry also talked about the connection between asthma and allergies.
"Allergen" is the word that doctors use to describe a substance in the environment to which our bodies may react with an allergic or asthmatic reaction. Common allergens include pollen, mold, dust mites, latex, certain foods, bee stings, certain plants, and medicines.
