UPDATE: Fatal plane crash under investigation

CALHOUN, GA (WRCB) - We now know the name of the man killed in a plane crash Saturday morning.
The victim is identified as 84 year-old Ed Noble, of Peachtree City, Georgia. His single-engine plane went down about a mile south of the Gordon County Airport.
Airport employees tell our partners at the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Noble was a retired corporate pilot and would fly a couple times a week.
Eyewitnesses say the plane went down and burst into flames.
"We just heard a boom and we looked out there and saw the fire," Cathy Logan told a WXIA photographer, "then we heard someone say a plane crashed and was on fire."
No one else was on the board.
Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration are working to determine what caused the crash.

CALHOUN, GA (WXIA) - A small plane has reportedly crashed, killing its pilot.
According to WXIA in Atlanta, the crash happened in a field near Tom B. David Airport in Gordon County.
The plane went down around 10:30 a.m.. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says it is unknown whether the plane was attempting to take-off or land.
The pilot was the plane's only occupant. The crash is still under investigation.
