UPDATE- July 4th

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- The man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two girls, is now behind bars.

Christopher Johnson was booked into the Hamilton County Jail, Monday, after being treated at the hospital for a self-inflicted knife wound.

He allegedly took the girls to Wilcox Road Friday Afternoon, where he forced them to perform sexual acts.

Johnson faces several charges, including felony aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.


UPDATE-July 1st, 9pm

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- The missing teen girls have been located.

The girls were found near Wilcox Road around 8pm Friday, near Raccoon Mountain.

They were taken to the hospital for observation.

Christopher Johnson, the uncle of one of the girls, was found on Wilcox Rd with a self inflicted stab wound to the stomach. He was taken to the hospital.

Johnson is facing multiple felony charges.


CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police are asking for the public's help to find two missing teen girls.

On Thursday, around 6:30pm, Christopher Johnson drove his niece and her friend to McDonald's on Browns Ferry Rd.

The niece sent a text to her cousin and stated that they were on their way back to the house but never showed up.

Mr. Johnson is driving a red 1981 Ford F250 truck without a tag and the bed of the truck is full of junk.

Mr. Johnson has a drug problem and possibly hangs out around Kings Lodge on Westside Drive.

The niece, 13, was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt and neon green shorts. She is about 5 foot and weighs about 90 pounds.

The niece's friend, 14, was last seen wearing a brown shirt and navy blue shorts. She is about 5 foot and weighs about 90 pounds.

Mr. Johnson, 46, was last seen wearing blue and white jeans, maroon button down shirt, and brown leather AL ball cap with a fish hook on the bill. He is 6 foot and weighs 170 pounds.
