BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- An investigation by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of two adults and two juveniles for the theft of two vehicles from an auto body shop on Dawn Drive.
The business owner reported the burglary and theft after arriving to open the business on June 23 and discovering the two vehicles missing. Both were at the garage for repairs.
During the investigation BCSO investigators learned one of the cars, a Dodge Magnum, was driven to Ft. Hill Cemetery where a cloth was placed in the fuel tank and an attempt made to set it on fire.
A juvenile who was identified as the source of the information was questioned about the theft and from the interview three other suspects were identified. They have now been charged.
Malcolm Durand Shalchick, 20, and Thomas Allen Bottoms, 23, both of southeast 14th street, are charged with burglary, theft over $10,000 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Shalchick has an additional charge of arson.
The juveniles are currently being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
