CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms through the day as a front moves through the Tennessee Valley.

The primary threat will be from hail, gusty damaging winds, and lightning.

The tornado threat is very small, only 2% according to the Storm Prediction Center, but of course we still need to be watchful.

We will see the storms on and off through the evening, then drier air will move in tonight and tomorrow.

Wednesday through the rest of the week we will see sunshine and no rain at all.  No break from the heat, though.

As a matter of fact, look for mid to upper 90s over the weekend.

We have several ways to keep you informed. Updated Watches and Warnings will scroll on the screen throughout the day. You can track and zoom the rain right to your neighborhood on the iRadar.
