CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- FEMA's latest announcement could put some locals to work.

Thanks to the recent spring storms across Tennessee, the federal agency is looking for assistance during the state's recovery and hopes to put local on the payroll.

Employees will work out of the joint field office in Nashville.

Right now 25 local employees are there and FEMA needs more help for jobs in public information, public assistance, and engineering fields.

If you're interested in applying, you should go to your local Tennessee Career Center.
