DALTON, WHITFIELD COUNTY (WRCB) - Whitfield County 911 has named Amanda Fleming Employee of the Year for 2010.
Fleming received the award during April's National Telecommunicator Week celebration.
She started with Whitfield 911 in July of 2006 and is currently assigned to day shift as a shift trainer/telecommunicator.
Her daily duties include training and evaluating new employees as well as developing on shift continuing education modules for her shift.
When she is not training new employees she is a telecommunicator (911 operator and radio dispatcher). She is also a member of the 911 Special Operations Communications Team and has been deployed to many incidents and planned events to assist with incident command, documentation, and on-site communications.
"Amanda is a very hard worker and has always been committed to her duties," said Jeff Ownby, deputy 911 director. "It's a pleasure working with Amanda, and I am very pleased that she received this award."
