Around The Riverbend: Clydesdales Visit Riverbend
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- The Budweiser Clydesdales paid a visit to the Scenic City to help support the McKamey Animal Center.
For over 75 years, these graceful horses have served as Budweiser's greatest ambassadors. And local fans had the chance to see them parade through the Riverbend Festival Wednesday evening.
"The Clydesdales are a treat that we were fortunate enough to schedule in," says Denny Hennen of Budweiser. "We're also tying it in with the McKamey Animal Center to try and raise donations for them."
On Tuesday afternoon, the public was invited to a special showing of the Clydesdales at the First Tennessee Cricket Pavilion. Hennen says the event helped raise money for the local shelter and he estimates 400 people were in attendance.
"They're massive animals and they're beautiful. They're very well taken care of and it's just part of Budweiser and they love to do it," Hennen says.
