Kite and Lewis win June CBA on Chickamauga Lake

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Steve Kite and Daniel Lewis from Hixson caught a five-bass limit weighing 31.11 pounds win first place and $2,000 in the Hunter Oil June CBA Open night tournament.

Steve reported that Chickamauga Lake is the best it has ever been. He credits the good fishing to good spawning years and the aquatic vegetation making a comeback on Chickamauga Lake.

The duo also won the May CBA, making this their second win of the 2011 CBA season.

The highest finishing New Team Award went to the team of Jack Suits and Phillip Ledford earning them a free entry into next month's event.

The team of Jim McClanahan and Colby Truelove were they highest finishing Youth Division Team and also earned a free entry into next month's tournament. They also had big fish of the tournament with a giant Chickamauga largemouth bass weighing 8.23 lbs.

•             8th: Keith Ellis and Roger Kendrick lbs., $200

•             9th: Jeff Reed and Allen Lewis 21.18 lbs., $200

•             10th: Tony Townsend and Galen James 21.02 lbs., $150
