NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Three advocacy groups have filed a class action lawsuit against the state of Tennessee for allegedly failing to provide certain services as required by the federal health care law. The lawsuit was filed Wednesday by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Tennessee Justice Center and the National Health Law Program.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee officials have signed a five-year, $60 million contract with a Kansas City, Missouri firm to produce the "Made in Tennessee" tourism campaign. The marketing agency VML, which has opened a Nashville office, already has produced two 30-second TV commercials promoting getting outdoors in Tennessee. More are to come.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Gov. Bill Haslam has announced five grants totaling more than $1.4 million for transportation, recreation and energy efficiency projects in Shelby County. Haslam said the biggest share of the money will fund new curbs, crosswalks, sidewalks, bike racks and pedestrian lighting near the University of Memphis.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - A partnership agreement signed last year between Middle Tennessee State University and Guangxi (gwahng-SHEE') University in southern China is bearing fruit. According to MTSU, school President Sidney McPhee was in China on Wednesday to meet with Guangxi administrators when he learned that 140 Chinese students will be coming to the Murfreesboro campus.
