Ringgold Business Owner: "We're still here, we're working"

Posted: Updated:

RINGGOLD, CATOOSA COUNTY, GA. (WRCB) - Some Ringgold business owners are teaming up to spread the word, that some businesses are still up running and others are improvising during the time to rebuild.

Teresa James owns the Ringgold Wedding Chapel.  She says business has dropped drastically since the April 27th tornadoes.  But, she wants everyone to know, many Ringgold businesses are still up and running.

James says she's had would-be clients call who say, "We didn't know you were open, we thought the place was leveled."

James and other business owners say they are giving away a wedding package to one lucky couple.

It includes a $500 wedding at the chapel and other gifts from various businesses.

The winner should be a victim of the tornadoes or someone who has been volunteering or helping those who were victims.

The deadline is June 21st.

You can nominate yourself of someone else by dropping off your story at the chapel on Nashville street.

You can reach them by calling (706) 935-8199 or send an email to rweddingchapel@aol.com.
