VIDEO: Ringgold tornado touches down

RINGGOLD, CATOOSA COUNTY, GA. (WRCB)-- The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office released video surveillance of the tornado, which devastated the City of Ringgold.

The footage shows a portion of the twister as it moved through the city, near the courthouse on April 27th.

The historic storm claimed eight lives in Ringgold and injured hundreds more.

The tornado began in Catoosa County, passed through Apison on its way to Bradley County, where it topped out as an EF-4.

In addition to the Ringgold fatalities, eight were killed in the Apison community and nine in Bradley County.
