SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- Walden's Ridge Emergency Services rescues man after he fell seven feet and received injuries.

At 6:30 PM Wednesday, a 9-1-1 was made reporting a 22 year old male fell 20 feet below when the rope he was swinging from broke at the Blue Hole.

The Blue Hole is off of Sitton Mills Rd. in Signal Mountain.

Rescue personnel entered the woods on All-Terrain vehicles and traveled 5 miles to the patient.

Due to the rough terrain and the patient's serious injuries, rescue personnel took 30 minutes to bring him out of the woods.

Rescue personnel had to carry the patient 75 yards to level terrain and place him on a 6 x 6 wheeler. Crews then transported him 2 miles out of the woods for Lifeforce to transport him to Erlanger.

Police have not received the man's name.
