DeKalb County, AL: Violet Hairston

DEKALB COUNTY, ALABAMA -- Mrs. Violet Hairston, age 90 of Fort Payne, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her residence.

Survivors include three sons, Ira La Wayne (Doris) Hairston, of Henagar, James Howard (Brenda) Hairston, of Rainsville, David Ray (Deborah) Hairston, of Fort Payne; 1 daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ann Hairston, of Valley Head; one sister, Maggie Lou Hicks, of Rainsville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Hairston; one son, Royce Cecil Hairston; and one granddaughter, Michelle Hairston.
