DEKALB COUNTY, ALABAMA -- Courtney Jo McGaha, 15, of County Road 27, Ft. Payne, Alabama died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from injuries sustained in a tornado.

She was the daughter of Darryl Keith McGaha and the late Jilda Jo Bergeron Vermillion.

She attended Plainville High School in Rainesville, Alabama.

Surviving are her father of Honea Path, two sisters, Abby Juliett Vermillion of Ft. Payne, and Amber Danielle Vermillion of Ware Shoals, paternal grandparents, Alfred "Pete" and Sadie Fisher McGaha of Honea Path, and her maternal grandmother, Katherine Wing Bergeron of Donalds.
