Arrest made in weekend apartment stabbing
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a weekend stabbing at a Standifer Road apartment complex.
Police spokesperson Jerri Weary says 29-year-old Lakisha Shanta Harris is charged with attempted first degree murder after she allegedly stabbed 18-year-old Michael Harden at the Rainbow Creek Apartments.
Harden told police he was in an argument with a female, known only as "Keisha" at the time, over a burglary of her home.
The victim says Harris pulled a small knife during the altercation, stabbed him, and then fled on foot.
Harden was taken to the hospital, where he was taken into immediate surgery and now listed in stable condition.
Lakisha Harris was booked into the Hamilton County Jail Sunday.
