Tornado benefit announced for Apison community

APISON, HAMILTON COUNTY, TN. (WRCB)-- A bicycle ride to benefit tornado victims has been set.

The Apison Tornado Recovery Ride is scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd.

Apison is a popular area for cycling, and this ride will provide an opportunity for the cyclists to show support and contribute financially to the victims.

The ride, escorted by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, will start at Westview Elementary School on East Brainerd Road, with two routes for riders to choose from: 10-12 miles and 30-35 miles.

Registration begins at 3:00 pm, and the ride begins at 5:00.

The fee is $25.00.

Helmets are required for both rides, and there will be no food or water stops along the routes.
