CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)— The Channel 3 viewers are in for a treat, as the upcoming NBC Fall season will showcase 12 new television series along with returning favorites.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt unveiled the primetime schedule for the 2011-12 season, which includes six new comedy series and six new dramas by hit-makers such as Steven Spielberg, Lorne Michaels, Brian Grazer, Tom Werner, John Grisham and Peter Berg, to name a few.

The season's new dramas are "Smash," "Prime Suspect," "The Playboy Club," "Awake," "Grimm" and "The Firm"; and the new comedies are "Up All Night," "Whitney," "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," "Free Agents," "Best Friends Forever" and "Bent."

Returning shows include "Parenthood," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Harry's Law," "Community," "Parks and Recreation," "The Office," "30 Rock" and "Dateline NBC." 

Also, "Chuck" will return for its fifth and final season consisting of 13 episodes.

Finally, NBC's number one reality series, "The Voice," will return along with "The Sing-Off," "The Celebrity Apprentice" and "The Biggest Loser."
