Police say Alabama man robbed stores managed by uncle
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Police in Huntsville have arrested a man they say burglarized two stores managed by his uncle.
WAFF-TV reports that officers responding to a break-in report found the front door of the business shattered. Police say 24-year-old Ernesto Chavez, the nephew of the store manager, and another suspect tried to hide on the building's roof.
Hours later, Hector Rios, the manager of the store realized that the family's other store had also been burglarized.
Police say the two stole telephone cards, cash and meat.
Chavez was booked into jail and the other suspect had to be treated for injuries received when he fell through the ceiling. It was not immediately clear whether either man had a lawyer.
