Chattanooga (WRCB) - Coolidge Park had less traffic on the first night the new youth ordinance was in full swing.

That could have something to do with the cooler temperatures, but our cameras didn't find any young people there without adults.  We saw only one marked police unit make a sweep.  Some folks say they're accustomed to seeing police officers at the entrance of the park.

Shawn Munyon says, "Yes, I've not seen anyone so far I thought that was kinda strange  to be honest."

Derrick Fenton says, "Sounds like a good idea, because the fact this stuff is going down this way, after dark, it gets a big dangerous."

The ordinance will kick in every night at 6pm and end at 6 am, but we did find a sign that reads park hours: 7am to 11pm.
