February is heart month and it's important to remember that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.. and a major cause of disability. This morning we are going to look at how to stay heart healthy.
Cardiologist Dr. James Marcum from Memorial Hospital was our guest.
He talked about how to lower your risk for heart disease. He says it is important to stop smoking or not start, check your blood pressure and cholesterol, and if you have diabetes make sure to keep it under control. He also talked about the importance of exercise.
