Body identified as woman whose car found earlier
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - The medical examiner in Chattanooga has identified a body found in the Tennessee River as that of a woman whose car had been found near a bridge.
Chattanooga Police found the car belonging to 40-year-old Jennifer Germann near the Olgiati Bridge on Christmas Eve.
Medical records were used to identify the body found Thursday near Williams Island as that of Germann, reported the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Police spokesman Rebecca Royval said Friday that the medical examiner's finding on the cause of death was apparent drowning.
Investigators said Germann's death was classified as a suicide.
