LAKE VIEW COMMUNITY, CATOOSA COUNTY (WRCB) -  A circus has descended upon Monanaw Avenue since Sunday, but despite the constant activity residents are excited for the Sharrock family, saying 9-year-old Patrick is more than deserving.

"They started coming out doing interviews," says neighbor Johnny Clark, "getting consent to use the property."

Clark has lived on Monanaw Avenue for more than 20 years.  He's known 9-year-old Patrick Sharrock all his life.

"He's just a great kid," Clark says. "You can't help but fall in love with him."

Now, Clark has his hard hat and a clear view of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition film crew from his front lawn.

Like the rest of his neighbors, the homeowner temporarily lost his front and back yard when the Extreme Makeover bus rolled into town.  Any available space is now occupied with vehicles or production equipment.

"It is difficult at night with all the Hollywood production lights, generators and crews," says neighbor Lance Hatfield.

Hatfield lives two doors down from the Sharrock home and says logistics will be hard this week.  More than anything, the residents of Monanaw Avenue are swept up in the excitement of it all.  Hatfield's wife even took the week off work, just to watch.

"Being in the building industry, it's kinda fun," says Hatfield.  "Watching a 3,000 square foot house, which normally takes four months to build, go up in 106 hours is amazing."

One thing everyone at the construction site seems agree with is that 9-year-old Patrick deserves this.

"I was very happy that it happened for these people," says Clark.  "They really deserve and need it."
