Update: Chattanooga Police investigate deadly shooting

Chattanooga Police have identified the victim of Thursday night's shooting

Twenty-five year old Lavante Favors was discovered by his girlfriend in the residence at 3726 Dorris Street with a gun shot wound to the head.

Police are still working to build a suspect profile in the case and no arrests have yet been made.

Investigators are looking at robbery as a possible motive in the case as the apartment had been ransacked.

 

Update 2/11/11

  A 25 year old man is dead after someone shot him in the head.

  Chattanooga Police say they were called to a home in the 3700 block of Dorris Street around 9:00 Thursday night after a woman called to say her boyfriend had been shot.

  The victim's girlfriend says she left the apartment for about two hours and returned to find her boyfriend lying on the floor with gun shots to the head.

  Police are still looking for possible motives and suspects in the case.

  The victim's identity has not yet been released.
