CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Three neglected horses rescued in North Georgia are making a speedy recovery.

Crystal Montgomery took in the animals around Christmas.

At the time, the horses were so malnourished you could see their ribs through their skin.

Montgomery says she's received several donations to help care for the horses, and they're doing much better.

Since 2004, Montgomery tells us she's rescued more than 20 horses.
