We had some decent snowfall Thursday night. Totals ranged from .50"-1" in the valleys to 1-3" in the mountains.
Now that the snow is gone, we should see our weather improving dramatically over the next few days.
Cooler air is going to settle in today and tonight (high today...40, low tonight...21), but we begin the warm up Friday afternoon. Over the weekend it will be even nicer with highs in the 50s and lots of sunshine.
Fortunately, most of next week looks good with highs near 60 and sunny skies.

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Light snow will be ending quickly in the Tennessee Valley Wednesday night. Up to an inch fell in the higher elevations, while less than an inch in grassy areas.
The very cold air was trapped north of our area and that is where most of the snow fell during the late afternoon. The Nashville area saw 2-4 inches of snow.
Lows Wednesday night will drop well below freezing, so there could be icy patches forming especially on bridges and overpasses, so caution is urged in the morning rush hour.
But snowfall amounts will not be that significant compared to what we have seen earlier this season.
