CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A woman attacked by a pit bull was rushed back to the hospital Tuesday morning.

Meg Cole suffered massive injuries in the Sunday attack.

She told Eyewitness News, her dog K-O attacked her at their North Chattanooga home.

Cole's 19-year-old daughter suffered much less severe injuries.

But Cole has major wounds to her mid-section, and tells Eyewitness News she was released from Erlanger Monday because she doesn't have health insurance.

Her husband told us her condition worsened overnight, and took her back to the emergency room.

Animal officials say the attack was so brutal, they'll hold the dog for 10-days and likely put it down.
