CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Chattanooga Zoo and issues surrounding the recent death of some its animals will take center stage at Tuesday night's city council meeting.

Chattanooga Zoo supporters, and critics, are expected to pack the Chattanooga City Council meeting.

Chattanooga businessman Gary Chazen, chairman the Friends of the Zoo board is scheduled to respond to the criticism that has swirled around the facility since its mascot, Hank the Chimp died.

Chazen and other officials will answer questions from council members regarding the recent deaths of about 10 of the estimated 700 animals housed in zoo facilities.
