CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- A woman is jailed on attempted murder charges following a domestic dispute with her husband.

The incident happened Sunday night on 4th Avenue.

Police say Patricia Stoudemire stabbed her husband just below his clavicle with a butcher knife after he yelled at her and poked her in the forehead.

Stoudemire told police her husband had threatened to harm her earlier in the evening, grabbed her wrist and poked her in the forehead, prompting her to carry a butcher knife to bed with her.

Stoudemire is charged with aggravated assault and attempted first degree murder.

Her husband, Marvin Davis, was taken to Erlanger and is in stable condition.
