Warmer weekend before snow chances next week

Channel 3 Storm Alert Meteorologist
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) Through the morning we could continue to see a light wintry mix of very light rain and sleet.  Temps are either at or just above freezing, so I am not expecting any widespread freezing, but a few icy spots could develop here and there.

During the late morning we will see temps warming into the upper 30s and low 40s.  That will cause whatever precipitation we get to change over into all light rain.  Light rain showers will pop up on and off through tonight, and may change into a little light snow in the upper elevations Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon into Sunday we will enjoy dry and warmer weather with highs near 50 on Sunday.

Another round of light mixed precipitation will move in on Monday morning.

We will have details on that, plus a look at next week when we will see another big blast of cold air along with a chance of some decent snowfall Wednesday tonight on Channel 3 Eyewitness News at 5.

TESTED: Best bets for booster seats

    Tuesday, November 21 2017 4:11 AM EST2017-11-21 09:11:10 GMT

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has tested 16 new booster seats for 2017, all but 3 have earned the agency's highest rating of "best bet."

The "best bet" rating means a booster provides a good safety belt fit for a typical 4 to 8 year old child in almost any car, minivan or SUV.
