German tech firm coming to Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The Chattanooga Chamber announced Thursday that German technology firm  ATN Hölzel GmbH will build a new facility in the Scenic City.

ATN Hölzel specializes in robotic gluing solutions for the automotive and solar equipment industries.

The new facility is expected to be a half million dollar investment and employ 15-20 people.

"We took this opportunity to pursue further contracts in the U.S. and were able to land several large orders" said Kay Sachsse, who is responsible for the subsidiary.

Sachsse sees Chattanooga as an ideal location to provide solutions and services to manufacturers in the US. "We plan to utilize the local talent pool and the 'open for business' mindset here to grow our foothold in the U.S.," he explains.

ATN Hölzel says employee salaries will average $60,000. ATN says they've hired their initial local workforce, but are interested in anyone with German language skills may apply for future opportunities through
