Homeowner pistol whipped during robbery

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)—Chattanooga Police are searching for three men, they say, robbed a man at gunpoint in his own home.

The robbery happened Friday night around 10:30 on Peggy Lane.

The homeowner, Corey Miree, told police three armed men forced their way into his house and forced him down to the floor.

The suspects demanded money from Miree, but when he told them he had no money, they began pistol whipping him on the back of the head.

Miree then pulled $12 from his pocket to end the assault, and the suspects fled with the cash and his TV.

The suspects, described as wearing black jackets and bandanas over their faces, were seen getting into a white Chrysler or Dodge.

Miree was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for head injuries.
