Several ways to help in extreme home makeover
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A local marketing firm is helping facilitate the volunteers and donations for the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" build. The family and the site location will not be unveiled until Monday, February 14. The finished house will be shown for the first time February 19.
It will take an entire community to help build this house. And here are the best ways to help.
According to Chattanooga-based KMT Creative Group, the project needs financial donations to be used for expenses related to the build and to benefit the family.
According, KMT Creative, the family will require unique construction materials and equipment. Since the quick build will not allow all of these materials and equipment to be donated, monetary contributions will help the family receive the special treatment essential to meeting their dreams, as well.

An updated list of needs will be updated daily by clicking here. Once you register your items to donate, the design and build teams have received your offer and are prioritizing according to the build schedule. The organizers ask that you not register the same item multiple times.
Contact will be made for items that fit the family story, architecture and style of the home. Please include web address or links to pictures of items offered.
Because this house is built in only 7 days the crew will have a very aggressive schedule. The builders and design team are looking for skilled professional laborers as well as general volunteers.
Skilled Volunteers: From concrete to caulking the teams need volunteers with construction-related experience. They need people who know their way around things like power tools, mudding and lawn irrigation systems. Click here to register as a skilled volunteer.
General Volunteers: General help is needed with staging, production, set-up, and other construction labor. They need lots of "helping hands" on-site to make things happen. These are positions that do not require professional trade skills. So bring a big heart, a strong back and closed-toed shoes to help with whatever is needed. Click here to register as a general volunteer.
