CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Hamilton Place Mall officials announced plans Tuesday for a massive makeover that will represent a multi-million dollar investment in the community. Along with the facelift for the 24-year-old mall, Hamilton Place will add some high-end stores currently not available in the area.
CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. unveiled plans that include the addition of the following stores: Sephora, White House Black Market, Teavana, and Forever 21.
Vice President of Development and Administration Michael Lebovitz made the announcement with Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield as well as other business leaders and elected officials.
Michael Lebovitz tells Channel 3 Eyewitness the real excitement for Hamilton Place is the multimillion dollar facelift the mall will receive.
Planned changes include a redesign of mall entrances, including a new logo and related signage; new wood, carpet and tile floors throughout the 1 million-square-foot property; a remodeled food court with all new seating areas; and a new elevator.
"With the influx of new industry and more jobs to Chattanooga, we anticipate an increasing demand for big name major market retailers," said Michael Lebovitz, executive vice president, development and administration.
Construction on the Hamilton Place renovations will begin in March and is expected to last 8 months.
