CHATTOOGA COUNTY, GA (WRCB) - A North Georgia teacher is accused of trying to arrange sex with a teenager.
David Daniel, age 48, is suspended with pay as investigators pick apart his home and work computers.
Trion Police posed online as a 15 year-old boy. They say the fourth grade teacher made contact immediately.
"During the conversation it was made known that was a 15 year old child he was talking to," said Trion Police Chief Chad Spraggins, "and he had no problem speaking explicitly with that minor."
Daniel, a fourth grade teacher at Leroy Massey Elementary School, arranged a meeting with the boy, and was arrested in a Trion park.
Chattooga County School Superintendent Dr. Dwight Pullen tells Channel 3, Daniel has been told to stay off school property until the investigation is complete.
Authorities say more charges are possible. For now, Daniel faces three felony charges.
