CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Winter Storm of 2011 is bringing injuries and new life to the Tennessee Valley.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News has learned that the emergency room at Children's Hospital treated eight children who were hurt while sledding or playing in the snow. The injuries ranged from a broken arm, broken leg, cuts, and back injuries. All patients were treated and released.

Children were not the only ones injured in the snow. Three adults were treated at Erlanger East Urgent Care on Wednesday with orthopedic injuries from weather-related problems. At least five adult patients were taken to the ER sprains, strains, fractures, and one head injury. Most of these patients went to the ER because their regular physician offices were close, according to an Erlanger official.

On the bright side, 18 babies were born on 1/11/11 at the two Erlanger campuses.
