CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Chattanooga officials say they have spent $116.50 per mile of city so far.
Crews working in 12 hour shifts since 6:00 p.m. Sunday to keep major roadways passable.
The bulk of the costs comes from the 1872 tons of salt and sand used on the roads, totaling $100,898.26.
The city has also spent $15,994.45 on the 79,200 gallons of brine.
The city adds that they have already accrued 978.25 hours of overtime, costing $22,906.19.
Three men were arrested and charged for the brutal 2015 death of Tony Rector. Rector's body was found in a local cemetery.
Brewer's trial is scheduled to begin September 25 in Hamilton County with jurors selected from Davidson County.
