DATLON, WHITFIELD COUNTY (WRCB) - The Georgia State Patrol tells Eyewitness News Demera Robinson was likely following a tractor trailer too closely on I-75.

They say the truck was in the outside lane gaining speed after pulling off the side of the road, when she crashed into it.

Investigators say the truck was likely going slower than the 40 mile per hour minimum speed.

Wednesday, some of Robinson's students spoke to Eyewitness News.

"She would get to know every single one of her   students individually, on by one.  She had something in her where she would not stop until she would see you succeed,"Tony Olvera, Dalton High School student says.

"We all cried together.  Understood what we were going thru, so we just cried and cried," Yoselyn Camacho, Dalton High School student adds.

Demera Robinson's funeral will be held Friday at Dalton First Presbyterian Church.

Burial will follow at Lafayette Memory Gardens.
