EAST BRAINERD, HAMILTON COUNTY (WRCB) – Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy accidentally discharges his firearm while serving a search warrant.

On Wednesday, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division assisted by the Narcotics/Special Operations Division executed a narcotic search warrant at 7301 East Brainerd Road Apt. C-19.

Upon the entry to the residence a member of the HCSO accidentally discharged his firearm.

Cecil Vance, age 22, was struck in the left leg and taken to Erlanger Hospital with non-life threatening injury.

Samantha Heather Cronin, age 19, was also found in the home.

Seized from the residence was suspected Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and items used to manufacture Marijuana (in-door grow).

Vance and Cronin were charged with the following:  Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacturing Marijuana and Simple Possession of Marijuana.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division and Internal Affairs Division are conducting a review of the accidental discharge.
