UPDATE: Wrecker crashes off Interstate, into parking lot

Posted: Updated:

EAST BRAINERD, HAMILTON COUNTY (WRCB) – Two people have been taken to Erlanger after a wrecker leaves the interstate Thursday evening.

Investigators say that the Ford F350 car hauler, driven by William Brown II, age 33, was traveling north on Interstate 75 in the fast lane when he suddenly veered to the right, ran off the road, through a fence and into the parking lot of the Health Center at Standifer Place, at 2626 Walker Road.

Mr. Brown then struck a power pole, three unoccupied cars, and a Ford Mustang, driven by Gerry Revels, age 45, who was pulling into the parking lot.

Life Force responded to the scene but both Mr. Brown and Ms. Revels were transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS with critical injuries.

Charges on Mr. Brown are pending the results of a blood test.
