CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority has chosen a Tennessee-based company to manage its new operations.

Wilson Air Centers will managed the Fixed Base Operator, or FBO, for Lovell Field.

The FBO will include a fueling center, a new 9,000 square-foot general aviation terminal, an office complex and a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art hangar facility.

Wilson Air Centers currently manages operations at Charlotte, Memphis and Houston airports.

The new FBO is part of a $13 million expansion planned at the Chattanooga Metro airport in hopes of attracting new carriers and new business to the area.

The development is funded by federal stimulus money, a grant from the FAA and money from the CMAA.

The FBO facilities are expected to be completed in July of next year.
