CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga Police are investigating a residential robbery that happened shortly before 8:00 Saturday night.

The incident happened on Clio Avenue.

According to police, 47-year-old Pedro Thomas told them he was standing in his kitchen when he saw five males, wearing masks and blue jackets, force their way through his front door.

One of the suspects was armed with a gun and demanded money from Thomas. When his demands were denied, he pulled the trigger, but nothing happened.

Thomas' wife was pushed away as she entered the kitchen to see what was happening and ran from the home seeking help.

The suspects then fled on foot taking Thomas' car keys and leaving their own.

Very little information was gathered during an area search and the investigation is on-going.
